A FEW WORDS ABOUT LEDs

LEDs are small, robust and energy-efficient. They are durable and offer many more creative possibilities than traditional lights, with regard to colours, dynamics, control and intelligent control. This means that with the use of LEDs, in contrast to earlier light elements, we now have much better options to create new moods, “set the stage” and create applications that meet our requirements.

The Light Emitting Diode is a semiconductor that converts electric power directly into light and does not produce heat, like other resistive elements.

The benefits of the technology, over traditional lamp bodies, are as follows:

  • No internal wiring;
  • Enables significant power savings;
  • Long life;
  • Secure installation and operation, because it requires only 24 Volts for operation;
  • Rather low power uptake;
  • There is only minimal heat generation and no need for cooling fans;
  • Thus, operating costs are also low.
